What is Photorejuvenation?

Photorejuvenation is a skin treatment that uses lasers, intense pulsed light, or photodynamic therapy to treat skin conditions and remove effects of photoaging such as wrinkles, spots, and textures. The process induces controlled wounds on the skin, prompting it to heal itself by creating new cells.
The LumiPhase
Is a light-emitting diode (LED) device, which is also created by Opusmed.
Combining high power density and optical positioning, for faster and more efficacious skin rejuvenation and acne treatments.
Clinical Studies
Opusmed has conducted extensive in-vitro testing on fibroblasts, as well as on cultured skin equivalents (dermis and epidermis), with the LumiPhase-R. A split -face study of 53 photoaged subjects also had a four-month follow-up. Wrinkles on the treated side were improved by 58% based on Primos digital profilometry measurements.
Patients were treated three times a week, for up to 4 weeks.
Optimal Results
Although results are made by using only the LumiPhase, optimal results occur when including even a small facial prior to treatment. However, a deeper facial with massage and exfoliation will give better results.
